Funny right?! These are just some examples of how subjective language can be....you might see or understand a certain thing one way but others might not....hahahhaa
Anyway...i am currently on a psydo one week break...actually the weeks coming to an end...spent most of it in the state of blur-dom, not doing anything vaguely related to my school work....it was bliss on a time-bomb so to speak.
Monday i woke up late and had to rush to give tuition.
Tuesday i went out with my Daddy to the hospital and to the library.
Wednesday, i slacked at home, tried to get on track to get my school work done...at least i touched it...heehoo...den went to the new CC for TKD and get my feet scrubed on the new netball court...came home with very red soles..my body is still acheing...
Thursday...tuition again, finally got my sociology, econs and maths finished....still have to plough through my IBM notes....monday got class ah~ sian diao!
Friday...today... woke up early to go to SIM for Soci lecture and ended up reaching the school at 8.10am! Once again i have set another early record...den again my friend Xinyi was earlier than me by ten minutes... had a good lecture and got to know my new friends better...maybe one dy we'll go to K-box or play a few rounds of mahjong....or even pool! Booya~
Many a thought has crossed my mind and i still wondering about the basic questions in my daily being. Simple things are not to be taken for granted and yet we are taught not to worry too much about what is going to happen. The television shows and books i read now-a-days have the weird and frightening ability to make me think more about the society in which i have been brought up in and the future which awaits me be it here or there...where ever that maybe...
Bomb blasts in the home town of my maternal cousin. That hits close to home and yet how much does one really care? Terrorists, i am told, have been integrated so deeply into their society that they are willing to see themselves as meer flies in comparison to the cause which they have been brought up to dedicate their entire exsistence to.
Part of the lecture today was about Spencer : The guy who came u with the theory of social evolution. His theory is similar to that of Chalres Darwin..you know ....that guy who came u with the 'survival of the fittest' with regards to animals? Anyway...i personally do not accet that theory of human evolution. WHY? Simply:
The whole theory is based on a line of continued up-grading in he form of complexity. First single cell organisms followed by the whole bio-thing of splitting and carrying onto the forming of animals and apes in particular finally leading to the Homo-sapien race...according to that dead wise guy and those who think like him. We are the final stage in that chain in of events, because we are the most complex.
*How can we be the most evolved? According to the theory....the darn progression never and will never stop...so who/what is going to be the next step? Real X-men?
*What started the big bang? If it was supposed to be the thing that initiated every thing, what caused 'IT'?
*I REFUSE to accept the idea that my 'qian-bei' were once furry and hairy and climbing in trees, eating insects and had tails! So there! Bite me! I'm organic! :p
OK... that's the result of 1/2hr of sociology lecture...hahaha...
Gotta fly now...
Cheers!
